WiLAN Inc. (WILN), the patent licensing company run by CEO Jim Skippen, said it reached licensing agreements with TCL Communication Technology Holdings Ltd., Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLC and Bosch Rexroth Corp. in the last two days of the second quarter.
The Ottawa-based company said on Thursday, June 30 its Touchscreen Technology LLC unit and TCL Communication settled litigation that was pending in the U.S. District Court in Wilmington, Delaware. The consideration to be paid to WiLAN and all other terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
WiLAN also said on June 30 that its Advanced Microscopy Inc. unit entered into a license agreement with Carl Zeiss. The company said the license also resolves litigation pending in the District of Delaware. The consideration to be paid to WiLAN and all other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
In addition, the company on June 29 said its Automation Middleware Solutions Inc. unit and Bosch Rexroth settled litigation pending in the Eastern District of Texas which involved AMS' claims of infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,513,058, 6,516,236, 8,073,557, 5,691,897, and 6,941,543 covering Bosch motion control products and systems. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
WiLAN is expected to report second quarter 2016 revenue of $23.46 million and $99.6 million for the year. The company also is expected to post earnings per share of 10 cents in the second quarter and 50 cents for the year.
